Malvern School of Art offers established visual art programs in Creative Drawing and Picture Book Illustration , with classes specially catered to children, teens and adults . Our art studio is located in a spacious, light-filled mid-century building along the vibrant thoroughfare of Glenferrie Road in Malvern. We base our teaching on the individual development and skill of each student in a structured yet flexible art curriculum that is transformative and progressive. Through the engaging and resourceful teaching methods, students fully explore and express their own artistic creativity, skills and style to realise each of their full potential.
Award-winning children's book author and illustrator, TULL SUWANNAKIT received a Bachelor of Fine Art in Animation from The Savannah College of Art and Design, USA in 2004. He began his professional art career as a lead set designer and character sculptor for an animation studio in New York. In 2011, Tull completed a Master of Fine Art degree with Distinction from Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology in Melbourne. Tull's children's books have been published in Australia, New Zealand, UK, USA and Thailand, as well as being translated into numerous languages throughout the world. His clients include Scholastic, Walker Books and Candlewick Press.
